The most visited and second-largest national park in Sri Lanka, famous globally for having one of the highest leopard densities in the world.

What to Expect

A mix of light forest, scrub, grasslands, and lagoons. Besides leopards, you can spot elephants, sloth bears, crocodiles, and diverse birdlife.

• Entry: Requires hiring a 4x4 safari jeep.
• Best Time: February to July when water levels are low.
