Dambulla Cave Temple

Overview

Also known as the Golden Temple of Dambulla, it is the largest and best-preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site.

What to Expect

Five main caves containing over 150 stunning Buddha statues and intricate murals covering the rock ceiling.

Practical Information

• Tickets: LKR 2,000 for foreign visitors.
• Note: Tickets must be purchased at the bottom of the hill before climbing the stairs. Shoulders and knees must be covered.
