Horton Plains & World's End

Overview

A protected national park in the central highlands covered by montane grassland and cloud forest. It sits at an altitude of over 2,000 meters.

What to Expect

The main attraction is a 9km circular trek leading to 'World's End', a sheer cliff with a drop of about 4,000 feet, offering views all the way to the southern coast on clear days.

Practical Information

• Best Time: Start the hike by 6:00 AM to reach World's End before the mist rolls in around 9:00 AM.
• Dress: It is very cold in the morning, but warms up quickly.
